Start with a briefing from a qualified instructor who goes through track racing lines, driving techniques and how best to handle the car out on the tarmac. Next up, the time has come to put the theory into practise in the GT-R. With 4WD, a 3.8-litre V6 engine and two turbochargers, this 473 bhp beast is genuinely breathtakingly fast. Drive several high-speed laps (a full six miles) of the circuit and once you've got some breath back, collect a certificate as a memento of the day.

• Availability Description

  Availability varies by venue, but is generally a mix of weekdays and weekends. Dates fill very quickly, allow several weeks advance booking notice. There is a £10 upgrade fee for Lydden Hill and Mallory Park, payable on booking.

• Participant Guidelines

  Restrictions (on height) vary between locations so please check all details before booking. A full manual driving licence (12 months minimum at some venues) must be held.

• Weather

  Driving may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions like ice, heavy rain or high winds, when driving at speed might become dangerous. Advance contact will be made if the experience is cancelled for any reason.

• Duration Detail

  Expect to be at the circuit for between half an hour and an hour, including a briefing and driving laps (driving time is up to ten minutes in total, six miles). Please arrive 45 minutes in advance of the booked time to ensure a prompt start.

• Numbers On The Day

  All in-car tuition is on a one-to-one basis although briefings may be shared. During the familiarisation laps share the car with up to two other participants as well as an instructor.

• Dress Code

  Wear trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and flat-soled shoes. A helmet is provided.
