Swimming with Seals for Two in Oban, Scotland

Swim with seals off the Scottish coast with this exciting wildlife excursion for two. Starting from the beautiful coastal town of Oban, this tour is ideal for beginners and experienced water-lovers alike. Take the boat with our team of experts and head towards a large seal colony of grey and harbour/ common seals and find out how friendly these creatures are. You can hire wetsuits from us that will keep you warm in the water as the seals zoom around, eager to play. The water is some of the clearest in Scotland and only a few metres deep, so there's no need for heavy dive gear! It's an amazing opportunity to get up-close with these playful creatures and there's even more wildlife to spot on the journey there and back, including dolphins, whales, basking sharks, seabirds and eagles.

  This is a seasonal experience that runs between April and September.

• Participant Guidelines

  The minimum age is 8, accompanied by an adult. Participants need to be reasonably fit to undertake a full day at sea. As this involves boats with ladders, it's unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility restrictions.

• Weather

  This experience can be cancelled in adverse weather conditions, please contact the venue before setting off if in doubt.

• Duration Detail

  Lasts for 7.5 - 8 hours with a break for lunch (a warm drink is provided after your swim but please bring along a packed lunch and water to drink).

• Numbers On The Day

  There are a maximum of 12 participants on the boat.

• Dress Code

  Life jackets are provided. Please wear sensible shoes and wrap up warm. A change of clothes is recommended. Binoculars and information guides are available onboard but don't forget your camera to capture those wildlife close-ups. Snorkelling equipment is available to hire from the venue by prior booking.
