One Day Puffin Tour for Two

Prepare to be amazed on this inspiring puffin tour of a special conservation area in the Treshnish Isles. With over 3000 puffins inhabiting the island, its the ultimate place to witness the distinctive seabirds in their natural habitat, along with other species such as razorbills, guillemots and fulmars. Arrive on the shore via a small dingy and explore the island by foot with an expert guide keeping their eyes peeled for the local wildlife. Witness the puffins hunting for fish and taking food home to their cliff-side burrows, where their young await. Later in the season, guests may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the pufflings poking their heads out. Don't forget a camera, because this is guaranteed to be something worth capturing!

  These trips run from April-July, on limited dates only (subject to availability).

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age 18. Participants need to be reasonably fit to undertake a full day at sea. Not recommended for anyone susceptible to sea sickness. Landings are via small dingy so a basic level of fitness is required to hop on and off the boat.

• Weather

  This experience may be cancelled in adverse weather conditions, please contact the venue before setting off if in doubt.

• Duration Detail

  The tour lasts between eight and nine hours, with a break for lunch (refreshments and snacks are provided but please bring along a packed lunch).

• Numbers On The Day

  There are a maximum of 11 participants on the boat.

• Dress Code

  Life jackets are provided. Please wear sensible shoes and wrap up warm in chillier weather. A change of clothes is recommended. Binoculars and information guides are available onboard, but don't forget your camera to capture those wildlife close ups.
