Afternoon Tea for One on the Northern Belle Luxury Train

Enjoy the timeless British experience of afternoon tea as the Northern Belle sets off for its journey through beautiful British scenery and landscapes. This nostalgic trip is like a journey back in time to the glamour of a former age. The Northern Belle luxury vintage train is inspired by the romance and nostalgia of the Belle trains that were popular in the 1930s. Each luxury carriage has a unique style. Once on board and seated by a welcoming steward, enjoy chilled Champagne. Then as the train travels through the countryside, listen to roaming musicians and be entertained by a table magician while tucking into a selection of finger sandwiches, fruit cakes and freshly-baked scones topped with clotted cream and preserves, served with tea or coffee.

• Availability Description

  Available selected Saturdays and Sundays April–October. Due to popularity, we recommend booking very far in advance to avoid disappointment, all bookings are subject to limited running dates and availability.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age 16. If a vegetarian meal is required, please advise at point of booking. Smoking is not permitted on board. Only folding wheelchairs can be stored on board and some mobility is required on the train.

• Weather

  The weather should not affect the experience, however the train runs on the public rail network and is subject to any imposed delays.

• Duration Detail

  Trips average between two and four hours, starting between 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Receive tickets, confirmation of departure times and a full itinerary shortly before the departure date.

• Numbers On The Day

  Up to 42 passengers share the carriage. Most seating takes place within a table of four people, there are also some tables for two. All seating is allocated subject to availability on the day.

• Dress Code

  Smart casual wear (no jeans or trainers).
