Full Day Axe Making Experience for One

Come and learn the artwork of forging and crafting with a day’s class into axe making for one. An excellent course for groups, work together to overcome the difficult forge and work steel into a personal hand axe. The day will be split into three parts, firstly forge the base structure for the axe by moulding and bending steel. Then move onto heat treating the axe, before finally handling it into a finished product of steel. Freshen up with a coffee or tea to stay productive. For the more experienced blacksmith why not try to craft the more difficult bearded axe or blunt fighting axe?

  You’re advised to wear jeans, T-shirts and sturdy shoes as sparks and flames are expected.

Option to craft a more advanced bearded or blunt fighting axe. What Do I Need to Know? Your voucher is valid for one person. Minimum age: 18 years. Please work working clothing such as jeans and a T-shirt. Though your voucher is for one you will work in a team with other participants. Safety boots or walking boots are preferred. Safety equipment and P.P.E is provided. Open toed shoes are not permitted. All dates are subject to availability.
