About the experience
The Lake District, arguably the prettiest of Britain's National Parks, is home to England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike and deepest lake, Wastwater. There's no better way to see this breathtaking beauty than from a bird's-eye view in a helicopter. From a cruising height of 1,000 feet, this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty will be laid out perfectly. Expect to fly over Windermere, England's largest natural lake, plus also see Belle Isle, the only inhabited island on Windermere. Prepare to be awe-struck by the imposing might of Furness Fells and then fly over Ambleside, home of Wordsworth. It is easy to see where the famous poet got his inspiration from, the whole area is spectacularly beautiful. Throughout the flight, the pilot will be commentating on the sights and pointing out landmarks of particular interest. Make sure to take a camera and see views that will be treasured forever.
