Soak in the incredible atmosphere of a world-famous cycling track and walk in the footsteps of legends with a cycling experience for two. The Lee Valley VeloPark in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park was built for the London 2012 Olympic Games, and now you can try it out too with an unforgettable cycling session. Whether you want to learn to ride or develop your skills, a 1:1 Adult Tuition or Junior 1:2 Learn to Ride Session is a great place to start. For those who need a little more exhilaration, there’s the Velodrome Flying Lap which allows you to try out fixed wheel bikes on the banked track followed by a speed lap to compare your times to the greats, or a Velodrome and BMX Taster, with two one-hour sessions on two Olympic tracks for a great introduction to the sports. If you’re more goals oriented, there’s the 1:1 VeloStudio Fitness Session where you can test your fitness and performance to help you build a plan to reach your targets. So get cycling!

Available week round, year round. All dates are subject to availability.
- Participant Guidelines
For the Velodrome and BMX Taster, the Velodrome Flying Lap and the 1:1 Adult Tuition: Minimum age: 12 years, or 16 years for the 1:1 Adult Tuition. Minimum height: 4’9”. Riders over 17st2lb are unable to hire bikes and must bring their own track-specific bike. For the 1:1 VeloStudio Fitness Session: Minimum age: 16 years. Minimum height 5’1”. Maximum height: 7’1”. Maximum weight: 23st8lb. For the Junior 1:2 Learn to Ride Session: Minimum age: 5 years. Maximum age: 16 years.
- Weather
For the Velodrome and BMX Taster: During winter months, BMX sessions may be delayed or cancelled in the case of poor weather or track conditions.
- Duration Detail
Please arrive at the VeloPark reception at least 30 minutes before your start time. For the Velodrome and BMX Taster: The total length of this experience is 150 minutes, with a 30-minute break in between sessions.
- Dress Code
For the Velodrome and BMX Taster, the Velodrome Flying Lap and the 1:1 Adult Tuition: Cycling gloves must be worn. Cycling shoes are recommended. You can hire Look Keo cleats and cycling gloves on the day for an additional charge. Normal trainers can be worn if preferred. Shoulders must be covered. For the BMX session, arms and legs must be covered. For the 1:1 VeloStudio Fitness Session: Trainers or cycling shoes can be worn. Please wear lightweight technical gym wear or cycling clothing.
