About the experience
Gliding is perhaps the most elegant way that humans can get airborne. It's a breathtaking way to fly, soaring on the same rising currents of air that the birds use. This experience includes around an hour in the air over three flights, plus expert instruction. Start with a briefing session, before climbing aboard a dual-controlled glider with an expert instructor. The glider is then towed into the air by a light aircraft and once at a height of around 2,000 ft the rope is released, the aircraft peels away and it's time to soar lazily in the thermal currents. Enjoy breathtaking views of the countryside below and the sky around. And at the pilot's discretion, take control of the glider. This experience is truly unforgettable.
In a Nutshell
- Get towed into the air by a light aircraft then released at 2,000ft
- Use the thermal currents to circle upwards
- Expert instruction from a qualified pilot
- Take the controls of the glider during around an hour of gliding
