Owl Encounter in Derbyshire with BB Falconry

Owls are solitary but incredibly majestic birds of prey and this hands-on owl encounter based in Derbyshire offers the rare opportunity to see them up close and personal. Following a welcome introduction of the centre, head out into the open countryside and meet some of the centres most amazing owls. After a bit of training, handle owls from various parts of the world and experience the thrill of flying them to the glove under expert supervision. This experience is fun, insightful and an absolute must for any owl lover.

  At least one weekend date per month throughout the year.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age is seven and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Due to the amount of walking involved, it is important to be reasonably physically fit.

• Weather

  If the forecast is bad, please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather it will be re-booked for an alternative date.

• Duration Detail

  Lasts around two hours.

• Dress Code

  Dress for the outdoors, waterproof and natural coloured clothing is advised, along with wellington boots. All falconry equipment is provided.
