About the experience
Often referred to as the 'The Motorbike of the Sky', a gyrocopter looks like a small helicopter. However, there is no engine to control the rotors. Instead, the engine powers a back propeller that pushes the aircraft forward. The rotors propel themselves because of the way in which the air flows through each of the blades. Enjoy bird's-eye views over Perth with an hour-long flight in a gyrocopter – what better way is there to see the beautiful Scottish countryside than from an open cockpit? Begin with a safety briefing from an instructor certified by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Learn the all-important flight information, as well as some fascinating facts about the gyrocopter itself. Take to the skies with the instructor at the controls and experience the thrill of this nifty craft in action. The gyrocopter is dual controlled so, for those who are feeling confident, take the controls and pilot the aircraft. This exhilarating thrill is ideal for adrenaline junkies.
