Little and Large Falconry Experience in Bedfordshire

For budding falconers, this is hard to beat - meet some of the smallest and biggest birds of prey on the planet with this fun-filled experience in Bedfordshire. Start off with coffee and discuss the itinerary with a resident falconer, then meet the birds. Start by handling and flying some of the falconry centre's smallest raptors including kestrels and different owls including Barn Owls, Woodford Owls, Mottled Owls, tiny Scops Owls and more. During the second part of your time, become familiar with the centre's big hitters. Handle and fly American Bald Eagles, White Tailed Sea Eagles, African Fish Eagles, Blue Chilean Eagles and Steppe Eagles among others.

• Availability Description

  Seven days a week all year round, excluding Christmas.

• Participant Guidelines

  Minimum age is seven (children aged 7 - 16 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult).

• Weather

  Please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather (strong winds or heavy rain), it can be re-booked for an alternative date.

• Duration Detail

  Expect to be at the venue for over three hours, starting at 9.45am and finishing around 1pm. Feel free to spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the centre.

• Numbers On The Day

  A maximum of four participants share the day.

• Dress Code

  All specialised equipment needed is provided. Country style clothing and stout footwear, along with a camera or binoculars are recommended.

• Other Info
