The most important thing for many people who may have limited time left is spending time with their family. According to research from Red Letter Days, 70% of people think it’s important that the gifts you give people at Christmas create lasting memories.
The incredibly brave Ashley has been battling Stage 4 secondary breast cancer, and to make this a Christmas to remember we crafted her perfect bucket-list weekend to enjoy with her family - from Afternoon Tea at The Rubens at the Palace with one of her all time favourite celebrities Duncan James and sightseeing in London, to a Teppanyaki dinner at Benihana and an overnight stay at The Dixon. The following day Ashley headed to a supercar racing experience with Everyman followed by getting up close with the giraffes at Woburn Safari Park.
We met Ashley through our ongoing collaboration partnership with Willow, which provides positive and life enhancing special days out for seriously ill 16 – 40-year-olds living with life threatening conditions.
About the experience, Ashley said: "It is so important for me to have as many memories as I possibly can with my family. We're huge animal lovers and F1 fans so the day was exactly what we wanted, and we made special memories that will last forever. Meeting Duncan James was a particular highlight - me and my Mum are the biggest fans and my Mum is even saved in my phone as ‘Duncan James’. To meet him in person was completely surreal but just as incredible. It was the best day of my life."
